Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Telemetry) role requiring an active GA or Compact RN license and 18 months of recent experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit with telemetry patient monitoring within an Internal Float Pool
• Handles ED border patients within specialty; when no such patients present, floats between two facility locations as needed within a 15-mile radius
• Assigned location communicated prior to each shift
• AM shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months of recent RN experience required

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-based nursing care to Med/Surg patients, including handling ED border patients within specialty
• All time off requests must be submitted upfront prior to assignment start
• RTO is strictly limited: max 5 days if not near a holiday, max 3 days if near a holiday, and only 1 holiday request allowed per assignment
• Multiple RTO days scattered around a single holiday period will not be approved
• Former Emory or Houston system employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered
