Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN - Med/Surg for an ENT unit caring for tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients, requiring GA or compact RN licensure and 18 months of experience.

Details

• General Surgical/ENT unit caring for general surgery, bariatric surgery, and head/neck surgery patients
• Patient population includes those with tracheostomies and laryngectomies
• Night shift schedule: 3x12s, 36 hours/week
• 30-minute meal break
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license in hand
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum 18 months of RN experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Skilled surgical nursing background required

Additional Information

• Provide specialized nursing care for ENT surgical patients including trach and laryngectomy management
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Former Emory or Houston Methodist perm staff must be separated for 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• RTO limited to a maximum of 5 days if not falling on or near a holiday, or 3 days if it does
• Only one holiday time-off request is permitted
