Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring active TN or compact RN licensure and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• 4th Floor Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• 33-bed unit with patient ratios of 6:1 on days and 7:1 on nights
• 3 techs per shift with unit secretary support on dayshift
• Uses IVs, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs
• Documents in Meditech
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floats in rotation to other appropriate areas as needed
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a busy medical surgical unit
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates will not be considered under any circumstances
