Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of recent telemetry nursing or med-surg nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
• Comfort with a 1:6 patient ratio, with assignments that may occasionally be 1:5
• Ability to work with electronic medical record systems, including Meditech

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care to telemetry and med-surg patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and document nursing care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Support common unit procedures and treatments such as wound vacs, CPM machines, external fixation devices, and bracing
• Maintain a professional, team-focused approach while adapting to the pace of a busy inpatient nursing unit
• Follow unit guidelines, scheduling expectations, and dress code requirements
