Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel Contract)

Location

Austin, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected weekend rotation at least every other weekend | No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical unit with a day shift ratio of 1:5
  • Perform and assist with a range of surgical procedures, including care for kidney transplant patients
  • Manage and monitor patients with complex needs including transplant, dialysis, and diabetic conditions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians
  • Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
  • Communicate effectively using unit technology including i-mobile iPhones and radio headsets

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience caring for transplant, dialysis, or diabetic patient populations
  • ACLS certification
  • Strong team-oriented mindset with the ability to take initiative
  • Familiarity with Meditech EMR
