Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Experience with Med/Surg nursing or acute care patients strongly preferred
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
• Open to feedback and able to work with an owner-mentality approach to patient care

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and communicate appropriately with the care team
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards and provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and support staff to support positive patient outcomes
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record system
• Support a patient ratio of approximately 5:1 to 6:1
• Maintain professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care
