Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele LTAC position on night shift, requiring 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience and neuro experience.

Details

• LTAC Med/Surg Tele unit
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options
• 13 to 26 week assignment options
• Weekend coverage supported by a rotating on-call system among 6 to 8 staff members
• On-call responsibilities apply after 5pm daily and on weekends, supported by primary and backup call techs
• Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census needs, limited to competencies already demonstrated

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Neuro experience required
• 1+ years of recent unit experience considered
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Skilled in complex wound care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and tracheostomy care
• Experience in respiratory/thoracic care setting

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care within an LTAC Med/Surg Tele unit, managing complex wound care and cardiac monitoring needs
• Complete annual compliance orientation, held every Monday
• Complete pre-assignment testing and required modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any facility in the health system to be eligible at full pay rate
• Night shift applicants for this specialty must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus, with candidates under 50 miles ineligible
• First-time travelers are not specifically excluded, though prior relevant experience is required
