Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position within an LTACH unit, requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• LTACH Med/Surg Tele unit
• Day shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 or 48 hour weekly options available
• 13 to 26 week contract options
• Weekend coverage supported by rotating on-call staff
• On-call responsibilities after 5pm daily and weekends supported by primary and backup call
• Floating to other units or campuses required based on census, limited to qualified competencies
• 1-year minimum Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• 2 years of MS/Tele experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Neuro experience needed
• Experience with complex wound care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Tracheostomy care/management experience
• 1-year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
• Must reside greater than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility, unless night shift or specialty exceptions apply

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on an LTACH Med/Surg Tele unit
• Manage complex wound care and cardiac monitoring needs
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Perform tracheostomy care and management for respiratory/thoracic patients
• Orientation occurs every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers may be considered with sufficient recent unit experience
