Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a LTAC Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and neuro experience.

Details

• LTAC Med/Surg Tele unit setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• 36 or 48 hour weekly options available
• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Weekend coverage supported by rotating on-call staff among 6-8 team members
• On-call responsibilities after 5pm daily and weekends, supported by primary and backup call techs
• 13 to 26 week assignment options
• Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census needs, limited to qualified and competency-verified areas

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Neuro experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Skilled in complex wound care
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with tracheostomy care and management
• Experience in respiratory/thoracic care settings

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a LTAC Med/Surg Tele unit
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance requirements
• Pre-assignment testing and modules required within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered with 1+ years of recent unit experience
• Must reside more than 100 miles from any facility in the health system to be eligible for full travel pay rate
• Candidates 90-99.9 miles away may be accepted at a reduced bill rate
• Travelers cannot extend beyond a third consecutive 13-week contract without transitioning to employee status
• A six-month separation is required before returning as a traveler if not converting to team member status
