Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an LTAC Med/Surg Telemetry unit requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Work in an LTAC Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options available
• Assignment length options of 13 to 26 weeks
• Weekend coverage supported by rotating on-call staff (6-8 members)
• On-call coverage after 5pm daily and on weekends supported by primary and backup call techs
• Floating to other units or campuses required based on qualifications and demonstrated competencies

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Neuro experience needed
• 1+ years of recent experience in the unit will be considered
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR required
• Skilled in complex wound care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with tracheostomy care and respiratory/thoracic patient management

Additional Information

• Provide care for adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients in an LTAC setting
• Manage complex wound care and tracheostomy patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias and emergencies
• Orientation occurs every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma facility to be eligible, with reduced eligibility for those between 90-99.9 miles
• Night shift travelers for this specialty must be at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible
