Nurse Midwife
Contract Details
15-week contract position available for winter planning.
Minimum Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.
- Comfortable with and/or familiar with Perinatal Period (PP) care.
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Fetal Monitoring Certification
Skills Required
- Strong experience in Labor and Delivery (LD):
- Perform cervical exams
- Handle antepartum and labor processes
- Administer amnio infusions
- Provide epidural anesthesia
- Conduct fetal monitoring
- Insert IVs and administer Pitocin
- Circulate during C-sections
- Catch and receive newborns (required)
- Administer APGAR scoring
- Knowledge of breastfeeding support
- Post-partum Care:
- Comfortable with all aspects of post-partum care from transition to discharge for both mother and baby.
- Scrub experience is a bonus; scrub trained RNs may be utilized for sick calls, although a Scrub Tech is always present on site.

- First-time travelers are considered.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Epic (strongly preferred).
- Facility includes 20 beds total: 12 Labor and Delivery, 8 Post-Partum/Antepartum, with 3 OB/ED rooms and 2 ORs, plus a 6-bed Level II NICU.
- No call required.
- Teal scrubs will be provided.
- Preferred languages: Multilingual capabilities, particularly Russian and Spanish.
