Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with various procedures and have a strong background in labor and delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Comfortable working with Perinatal care.
• Current certifications in BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring.
• Proficient in performing cervical exams, antepartum assessments, labor management, amnio infusions, and administering epidurals.
• Experience with fetal monitoring, IV placement, and Pitocin administration.
• Ability to circulate C-sections and assist in baby catching/receiving, including performing APGAR assessments.
• Knowledge of breastfeeding practices.

Post-Partum Care

Candidates should be comfortable with all aspects of post-partum care, from the transition of care to discharge for both mother and baby.

Additional Skills

• Scrub experience is a bonus; however, there will always be a Scrub Tech on-site to assist.
• Current familiarity with Epic EMR software is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

The facility features a total of 20 beds, including 12 for labor and delivery and 8 for post-partum/antepartum care, along with 3 dedicated OB/ED rooms and 2 operating rooms. A level II NICU is also available with 6 beds.

Schedule

This position does not require on-call duties.

Scrubs

Teal scrubs will be provided for the duration of the assignment.

Language Skills

There is a preference for candidates who can communicate in Russian or Spanish to serve a multilingual population.
