Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN requiring an active Minnesota RN license and certifications in ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit
• Provide care in Labor & Delivery and LDRP settings, including Level I Nursery
• 3x12 shifts, day (0700-1930) or night (1900-0700)
• Every other weekend or 3rd weekend commitment required
• Holiday coverage required as needed by facility

Requirements

• Active Minnesota RN license required (in hand or proof of application at time of consideration)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience with strong OB background required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in postpartum care including couplet care and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Experience with antepartum care, NST, obstetrical triage, and fetal monitoring required
• Ability to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns using external fetal monitoring
• MedSurg experience is an additional asset
• Minnesota Livescan fingerprinting required in person the Monday before the scheduled start date, with no exceptions
• Completion of required lab work within 48 hours of signing contract

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across the labor, delivery, and postpartum continuum
• Support triage and monitoring of obstetrical patients including fetal heart rate assessment
• Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates within 25 miles are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved prior to starting the assignment
• Vaccine exemption requests require appropriate documentation for consideration
• First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for this role
