Description
American Traveler is hiring an OB/L&D RN for a Labor & Delivery unit requiring ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications along with an active MN RN license.
Details
- Work in the OB/GYN and Labor & Delivery unit
- Care for patients across Antepartum, OB Triage, Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Post-Partum services
- 3x12 shifts on Day (0700-1930) or Night (1900-0700) schedules
- Every other weekend or every third weekend commitment required
- Uses external fetal monitoring equipment
Requirements
- Active Minnesota RN license in hand or proof of Minnesota license application required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
- 1+ year of RN experience with strong OB background required for charge consideration
- Competency in couplet care, postpartum hemorrhage management, NSTs, and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns required
- MedSurg experience is an additional asset
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive OB/L&D nursing care including antepartum, triage, delivery, nursery, and postpartum services
- Must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
- Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of submission
- Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
- Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
- Minnesota Livescan fingerprinting must be completed in person in Minnesota on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date
- First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
