Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Compact license in hand at submission, if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Current BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
• ACLS preferred
• Experience with labor, preterm labor, triage, postpartum recovery, and high-risk deliveries
• Ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced obstetrical and maternal-child health environment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
• Assist with triage, circulating for C-sections, and support for high-risk deliveries
• Monitor fetal status, maternal condition, and labor progression
• Administer medications and therapies such as magnesium sulfate, insulin, anticoagulation, and blood products as indicated
• Support procedures including epidural management, wound care, and use of specialty pumps and equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Float to postpartum or other related areas based on skill set and unit needs
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the birth experience
