Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and fetal monitoring competency.

Details

• 32-bed Labor & Delivery unit with approximately 150 staff members
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with alternating weekends
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Charge and co-charge nurse coverage on each shift
• Uses Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound equipment
• Meditech EMR
• Typical procedures include SVD, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Intermediate or advanced AWHONN or NCCEFM fetal monitoring certification required
• SVE competency and C-section circulation experience required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
• Internal fetal monitor placement competency preferred
• Experience in a Level IV (high-volume) unit preferred
• Previous HCA assignment or employment preferred
• Team player with a positive attitude is ideal for this unit
• Navy blue scrubs required; T-shirts not acceptable, only solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts permitted
• Must adhere to unit attendance policy
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
