Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and advanced fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Work in a 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Care for a high-risk obstetric patient population, including immediate newborn care
• Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
• Utilizes Baxter pumps and Philips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
• Charting completed in Cerner and Fetal Ink EMR systems
• Perform or assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hysterectomy procedures
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekends and on-call not required but available upon approval
• Floating required to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU units

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Immediate newborn care experience required
• Circulating experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN or NCCEFM)
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for laboring and postpartum patients, including high-risk cases and newborn care
• Work alongside a care team including charge nurses, PCTs, and CSTs
• Best personality fit includes being outgoing, friendly, and adaptable
• Scrubs/attire provided per unit dress code
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
