Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and high-risk obstetric skills on night shift.

Details

• Work in a 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Staff includes charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and RNs on both day and night shifts
• Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
• Uses Baxter pumps and Philips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
• Charting is done in Cerner and Fetal Ink
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Floating required to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU as needed
• No mandatory weekends or on-call, available upon approval

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Immediate newborn care experience required
• Circulating experience preferred
• Current certifications required: NRP, BLS/ACLS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN or NCCEFM)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Care for patients undergoing vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hysterectomy procedures
• Ideal candidates are outgoing, friendly, and adaptable
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
