Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and advanced fetal monitoring certification.

Details

  • Labor & Delivery unit with 16 beds and 120 staff members
  • Day and night shift coverage includes charge nurse, PCT, CST, and RN roles
  • Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
  • Uses Baxter pumps and Philips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
  • Cerner and Fetal Link EMR systems used
  • Shift hours are 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
  • Floating required to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU
  • Weekends and on-call not required but available upon approval

Requirements

  • Active NC or compact RN license required
  • BLS and ALS certification required
  • NRP certification required
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required (AWHONN intermediate/advanced or NCC EFM)
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
  • High-risk L&D experience required
  • Immediate newborn care experience required
  • Circulating experience preferred
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Performs vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hysterectomy procedures
  • Scrubs provided per unit dress code
  • Must be outgoing, friendly, and adaptable to fit unit culture
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
