Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN with 2+ years of L&D experience and high-risk obstetric expertise for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with 16 beds and a staff of approximately 120
• Unit staffed with charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and RNs across day and night shifts
• Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
• Uses Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
• Charting completed in Cerner and Fetal Ink
• Performs vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hysterectomy procedures
• Shift runs 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Floating required to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU
• Weekends and on-call not required but available upon approval

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Immediate newborn care experience required
• Circulating experience preferred
• Current BLS and ALS certification required
• Current NRP certification required (Advanced 9th Edition)
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required (AWHONN intermediate/advanced or NCCEFM)
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery setting supporting a range of obstetric procedures
• Scrubs provided per unit dress code
• Best fit for outgoing, friendly, and adaptable individuals
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered
