Job Summary
Postpartum Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift Location: the organizations postpartum unit offers a 13-week contract opportunity. This role involves providing specialized postpartum care in a Level IV maternal and Level III NICU setting. The position emphasizes teamwork, excellent communication, and the ability to manage a couplet ratio of 1:4, with responsibilities including monitoring patients, administering treatments, and utilizing EMR systems.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. Additional certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider preferred.
- Education: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
- Experience: 1 year of relevant postpartum or L & D (Labor & Delivery) experience preferred; minimum of 0 years required.
- Location Requirements: No specific location restrictions noted.
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Schedule: Nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 13-week assignment.
- Additional information: The unit handles approximately 1,000 births per month, with a focus on teamwork and excellent communication. Candidates should have experience with procedures such as non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin, magnesium, and heparin drips. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate a team-oriented personality and good communication skills.
