Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care position requiring telemetry and vent management skills on a busy medical-tele/step-down unit.

Details

• Work on a 42-bed Medical Intermediate Care unit split between medical-telemetry and intermediate care sides
• Care for patients with pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, DKA, HHS, ETOH withdrawal, GIB, sepsis, PE, UTI, and respiratory failure
• AM shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to other units may occur at times, with RNs working on both the med-tele and IMC sides of the floor

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 1-2 years of relevant nursing experience preferred
• Experience managing trachs, ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, cardiac drips, BiPAP, and telemetry required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across both medical-telemetry and intermediate care sides of the unit
• Deliver care for a medically complex patient population requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions
