Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (ICU stepdown) position requiring a MA RN license and prior stepdown experience with complex surgical and trauma patients.

Details

• Work in a 32-bed Medical/Surgical/Trauma/Transplant Intermediate Care Unit (ICU stepdown)
• Care for patients with complex surgical and medical needs, including those on ventilators, high flow oxygen, and BiPAP
• Patient population includes trauma, general surgery, thoracic surgery, kidney transplant, and Whipple procedure cases
• Patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4
• AM shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:30
• 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• 30-minute meal break included in shift
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
• Prior ICU stepdown or intermediate care experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide advanced nursing care to patients with complex surgical, trauma, and transplant needs
• Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilator, high flow oxygen, and BiPAP support
