Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of continuous ICU experience and telemetry competency.

Details

  • 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center
  • Patient population includes Substance Abuse/Overdose, severe Psychiatric conditions, DKA, Sepsis, GI bleed, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Renal Failure, and Cardiogenic Shock
  • Attendings and Residents present in the ICU 24 hours/day
  • RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30 with every other weekend required
  • Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units at a ratio of 1:4 or 1:5
  • EPIC EMR used for charting
  • No rotating shifts required

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required, NURSYS and BON verification needed within 30 days of start
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of continuous Adult ICU experience, preferably in a MICU
  • Must be able to read telemetry strips
  • Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to a wide range of adult ICU patients with high acuity needs
  • Collaborate with attendings and residents present in the unit around the clock
  • Free on-site parking available
  • Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility to be eligible for travel rates
