Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency.

Details

  • 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center
  • Patient population includes substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
  • Attendings and Residents present in the ICU 24 hours/day
  • RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients
  • Floating required to Med/Surg units with ratios up to 1:4 or 1:5
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30 with every other weekend required
  • No rotating shifts required
  • Uses EPIC EMR charting system
  • 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options available

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts RN license (no conditional licenses accepted)
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • 2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
  • Telemetry competency required, including ability to read tele strips
  • Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to a diverse adult ICU population with floating responsibilities to Med/Surg units
  • Free on-site parking available
  • Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston
