Travel Nursing Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010

  • Nursing Schedule: 3 shifts per week
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
  • Shift Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours

  • Orientation: 16 hours
  • Assignment Notes: Local candidates are welcome. Some holiday coverage may be required, and time-off requests must be approved before the assignment begins.

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio, in hand before the start date
  • At least 2 years of professional nursing experience
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Recent critical care or intensive care unit (ICU) experience strongly preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Ability to float to medical-surgical units based on patient census and operational needs
  • Ability to work night shifts and participate in holiday coverage as scheduled
  • Compliance with applicable vaccination and workplace safety requirements

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit
  • Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and respond promptly to clinical needs
  • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient response
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized treatment plans
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress
  • Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and continuity of care throughout each shift
  • Float to medical-surgical units when needed and provide care within demonstrated competencies
