Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact license eligible
- Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience required
- At least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience preferred
- Ventilator management and vasopressor titration experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Certification required
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and rapid decision-making skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients with complex, rapidly changing conditions
- Perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and best practices
- Manage ventilators, pressor titration, and advanced ICU therapies
- Monitor hemodynamic status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Support care for patients with septic shock, COPD exacerbations, post-MI recovery, and surgical complications
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Educate patients and families while serving as a compassionate advocate throughout the care process
- Maintain accurate charting and uphold infection prevention, quality care, and patient safety standards
