Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: October 6, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), 36 or 48 hour weekly options available. Weekend coverage required (6 shifts per 6-week period). 12-hour orientation provided.

Highlights:

  • Medical-Surgical ICU with 1:2 patient ratios across all shifts
  • 91-day travel assignment in a 16-bed critical care unit with daily census of 14 patients
  • Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • Work with adult and geriatric patient populations requiring advanced critical care interventions
  • Specialized equipment including CRRT (NXXT Stage) and full ICU capabilities
  • One pre-approved time off period available during contract

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; NIHSS and PALS preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Experience with patient ratios of 2-3 patients
  • Previous charge experience, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, and blood product administration
  • Must complete onboarding requirements within 48 hours of contract signing
