Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position located at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized patient care in a surgical trauma intensive care environment, requiring a minimum of two years of full-time staff nurse experience in a Level I Trauma Center. Candidates must hold an active, unencumbered Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license and meet all certification requirements. The schedule involves rotating shifts with 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting October 13, 2026, and concluding February 2, 2027.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
- Active, unencumbered Hawaii RN license required
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)/Health Care Provider (HCP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
- Preferred certifications include Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or equivalent, and specialty certifications such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN)
- Must pass an EKG exam with 80% or better during orientation
- A minimum of two (2) years of full-time staff Registered Nurse experience in a Surgical/Trauma Intensive Care Unit at a Level I Trauma Center prior to any travel assignments. CCRT experience highly desired
- All licenses and certifications must be valid at the time of application submission through the duration of the initial contract
- Additional Information:
- Previous travelers within the healthcare organization highly preferred
- Flexibility to float to ICU, Step-down, and Telemetry units based on facility needs
- Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the contract start date; failure to meet this deadline will result in contract delay or cancellation
- Travel assignments do not permit Requested Time Off (RTO) during the initial contract period
- Current NURSYS report required for all submissions
- If RN is not needed on their designated unit, may be assigned to alternative roles such as nursing assistant or safety sitter
