Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU Medical) registered nurse position in a healthcare setting. The role involves providing specialized critical care services within a Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will possess the necessary licensure, certifications, and clinical experience to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift, with 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
    • Active, unencumbered Hawaii registered nurse (RN) license required
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Healthcare Provider (HCP) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
    • Specialty certification(s), such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), highly desired
    • Must pass an EKG exam with 80% or better during orientation
    • All licenses and certifications must be valid at the time of application submission and throughout the initial contract period
    • Two (2) or more years of full-time staff RN experience in a Medical ICU at a Level I Trauma Center prior to travel assignments required
    • Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) highly desired
  • Additional Information:
    • Previous travelers within the organization highly preferred
    • Flexibility to float to ICU, Stepdown, and Telemetry units as needed based on facility requirements
    • Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the contract start date; failure to do so may delay or cancel the assignment
    • Submission of a current NURSYS report is required for all candidates
    • If the RN is not needed on the designated unit, they will be assigned to roles such as nursing assistant or safety sitter, with the expectation of filling that role
