Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU Medical) specializing in critical care nursing positioned in an urban healthcare setting. This role involves providing high-level patient care within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) environment, supporting patients with complex health needs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal outcomes. The assignment is scheduled to start on 10/13/2026 and conclude on 02/02/2027.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Active, unencumbered Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license required to apply. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) & Healthcare Provider (HCP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required. Specialty certification(s) such as Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) highly desired. Must pass an EKG exam with 80% or better during orientation. All licenses and certifications must be valid at the time of application submission through the duration of the initial contract.
- Experience: Two (2) or more years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Staff Registered Nurse (RN) experience excluding travel assignments. Experience in Medical/Surgical/Mixed ICU preferred. CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience highly desired.
- Additional Information: Previous travelers with the organization are highly preferred. All travel Registered Nurses (RNs) may be floated as needed to similar or lesser acuity areas such as Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, Emergency Department holds, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) holds, or equivalent. Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the contract start date; failure to do so will result in a delayed or canceled assignment. A current NURSYS report must be submitted with the application. If the RN is not needed on their designated unit, they may be assigned roles such as nursing assistant or safety sitter.
