Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Albuquerque, NM 87102

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). Option of 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per schedule period. Patient ratio 1:2. 24-hour orientation provided.

Highlights:

  • First-time travelers welcome with 1.5+ years of ICU experience
  • 32-bed Intensive Care Unit caring for adult patient population
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and more
  • May float to Medical-Surgical, Stepdown, PCU, Emergency Department, or CVICU with a maximum of 4 patients when floating
  • 13-week assignment with competitive compensation and travel support
  • Pending New Mexico or Compact state license accepted (must be obtained prior to start date)

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact state license required by start date)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with ICU background
  • Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required
  • Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
  • Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial line management, vasoactive drip titration, central line care, blood product administration, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
  • Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
