Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Hospice position requiring OASIS and HCHB experience with a minimum of one year of recent hospice or home health nursing experience.

Details

  • Home Health/Hospice setting caring for a geriatric patient population
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Average caseload of 5-7 patients per day with a weekly requirement of 30 visits
  • Territory covers up to a 60-mile radius from the hub office
  • On-call rotation may be required
  • All charting must be completed by 9 AM the following morning

Requirements

  • Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent hospice or home health nursing experience required
  • OASIS experience required for completing Start of Care assessments
  • Proficiency in HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR required
  • Active driver's license and personal transportation required

Additional Information

  • Provide end-of-life and palliative care including symptom management, pain assessment, and postmortem care
  • Support patients and families with education, counseling, and goal setting throughout the care process
  • Address ethical and legal considerations such as advanced directives and medical futility
  • iPad provided for documentation; personal cell phone use not required
  • Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
  • Dress code requires scrubs of any color; jeans not permitted
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
  • Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 6 months and approved by HR before returning as a traveler
  • Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
  • Travel pairs accepted, provided each traveler is assigned to their own territory and has independent transportation
  • RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
  • Timely communication and documentation are mandatory throughout the assignment
