Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a Level 1 Trauma hospital, requiring Epic experience and IL RN licensure for night shift coverage across multiple inpatient units.

Details

  • Float pool role covering various Med/Surg units as needed
  • May float to Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU units
  • Level 1 Trauma facility setting
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00PM - 7:30AM
  • 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
  • Varied weekend and holiday shift requirements
  • No on-call requirements
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience required
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

  • Provides direct nursing care and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members across various patient populations
  • Conducts and documents patient assessments, nursing diagnoses, care plans, and evaluations
  • May precept staff from various units as needed
  • Coordinates care with multidisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting safety hazards and incidents
  • Engages in ongoing professional development and peer feedback
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Local candidates not accepted
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
  • Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year at this health system without a 6-month break in service
