Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Recent or current acute care experience in the specialty required
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Strong IV start skills and telemetry monitoring experience
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate emergency care to patients with complex oncology-related needs
• Triage patients and respond quickly to changes in condition in a high-acuity ED environment
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias as part of routine emergency nursing care
• Start and maintain IV access, administer emergency medications, and support critical interventions
• Assist with blood product administration, EKGs, ABGs, and stroke or trauma-related workflows as needed
• Manage isolation precautions, ventilated patients, and non-trauma emergency cases
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote efficient, high-quality patient care
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain clear clinical communication throughout the shift
