• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 3x12s, with floating required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Orientation: 76 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,830 - $1,930
• Patient Ratio: 1:4

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Current acute care experience must be recent and consistent within the last 12 months
• Active compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Proficiency with IV starts, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency medication administration
• Experience with blood product administration, ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, central line care, and stroke-ready care preferred
• Must be comfortable floating as needed
• Two professional references required, including one from a manager, director, or other formal leader

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to high-acuity emergency patients in an oncology-focused Emergency Department pod
• Perform thorough triage, patient assessment, and ongoing reassessment in a fast-paced ER environment
• Start and maintain IV access, administer medications, and support emergent interventions
• Monitor telemetry and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Assist with interpretation of dysrhythmias, ABGs, and 12-lead EKGs as needed
• Support care for complex patients requiring isolation precautions, oxygen support, and advanced emergency nursing skills
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing team members, and interdisciplinary support services to ensure exceptional patient care
