Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Experience in Emergency Room, ER Observation, ER holding, or Med-Surg/Telemetry required
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing education required
• Ability to work nights in a high-acuity, interdisciplinary healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care in an Emergency Department Observation Unit and ER holding setting
• Monitor telemetry, assess dysrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer IV medications, including insulin and heparin protocols
• Support patients requiring CPAP/BiPAP, oxygen therapy, and other non-invasive airway management
• Administer blood products and assist with central line, PICC, port, and arterial line care
• Perform wound care, tracheostomy care, and other complex bedside nursing interventions
• Utilize rapid response and code team resources when urgent patient needs arise
• Document accurately in Epic and collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary care teams
