Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room or Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Experience in ER holding or observation required; Med-Surg/Telemetry experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• Epic experience preferred
• Ability to work nights in a high-acuity, fast-moving emergency care environment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for patients in the ER holding and observation setting
• Monitor and assess patients across all age groups, including pediatric and adult populations
• Manage telemetry, IV therapy, oxygen support, and other common emergency department interventions
• Recognize changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support timely care delivery
• Document accurately and efficiently using the facility's charting system
• Support a patient-centered environment while maintaining a calm, professional presence during busy shifts
