Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing urgent emergency care in a Level IV trauma center environment. The ER Nurse will be responsible for managing a high-volume patient flow, assisting with critical diagnoses, and utilizing advanced emergency nursing skills to deliver timely patient care.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); Location Requirements: Must be in state during the week of orientation; Experience Requirement: 2 years minimum.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The ER treats approximately 35+ patients daily, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4. The facility maintains a separate triage area and has dedicated psych/seclusion rooms. The ER operates 24/7 with in-house security. Staff may need to assist with ventilator troubleshooting, EKGs, ABGs, and breathing treatments. Self-scheduling and block scheduling options are available, with a minimum of six weekend shifts expected every six weeks. Holidays and potential floating within zone 1 are required based on department needs.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must have a license ready to submit and a minimum of 2 years of relevant ER experience.
