Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring NM or compact RN license and multiple emergency certifications.

Details

  • Level III trauma center Emergency Department with 48 beds and flex space
  • Patient ratios of 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
  • Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric patients
  • Uses Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC, and Ultrasound Guided IV
  • Cerner EHR used for charting
  • Night shift schedule from 7p to 7a
  • Minimum of two weekends per schedule required
  • No call requirements
  • No floating requirements
  • Team nursing and Pod System with dedicated Social Worker and Unit Educator support

Requirements

  • Active NM or compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, and ENPC (AHA certified)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with ED experience preferred
  • RN ADN required for education
  • Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care for a wide range of conditions including substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain
  • Facility supports Trauma Level I, II, and III cases, including patients flown in due to regional location
  • Works alongside an Interim ED Manager and Clinical Coordinator
