Description

American Traveler is hiring a Charge RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a NM or compact RN license and 2 years of ED experience.

Details

  • Level III trauma center Emergency Department with 48 beds plus flex space
  • Patient ratios of 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
  • Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric patients
  • Uses Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC, and ultrasound guided IV equipment
  • Cerner EHR system used
  • Night shift schedule from 7p-7a
  • Minimum of two weekends per schedule required
  • No call requirements
  • No floating requirements
  • Team nursing and pod system with social worker and unit educator support

Requirements

  • Active RN license, NM or Compact required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC (must be from AHA)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with ED experience preferred
  • RN ADN education required
  • Must have skills in trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation care
  • Charge RN experience required

  • Provide emergency care for a wide range of conditions including substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain
  • Reports to Interim ED Manager and Clinical Coordinator
  • Located in a Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
