Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for an Emergency Department position. This role requires commitment to providing exceptional patient care and collaboration within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Schedule
The position is a night shift role with rotating weekends. The standard shift hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Unit Information
- Location: Austin, TX
- Number of Beds: 32+
- Staffing: 117 total staff members
- Day Shift: 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 1 Medic, 1 PCT
- Mid Shift: 2 CNCs, 15 RNs, 2 Medics, 2 PCTs
- Night Shift: 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 1 Medic, 1 PCT
- Patient Ratio: 4:1
- Type of Equipment: EMR - Meditech
- Permanency: Permanent positions available
Qualifications
Must Have:
- Current TNCC certification (to be obtained by start date)
- Current ENPC certification (to be obtained by start date)
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
Preferred:
- More than 2 years of experience in Emergency Nursing
Typical Procedures Performed
- Lumbar Punctures (LP)
- Intubations
- Thrombolysis using TNK
- Laceration Repairs
- Suture Removals
- Splinting
Personality Fit
Ideal candidates will be great team players who can anticipate the needs of patients and the department. A cooperative and proactive attitude is essential for success in this role.
Dress Code
Required attire includes:
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Navy Blue zip-up sweater
Not Acceptable: Pull-over sweatshirts
