Weekends: Rotating

Unit Overview

This Emergency Room unit is designed to provide high-quality emergency care. It features:

48 private rooms
27 hallway stretchers
9 Fast track beds
5 behavioral health spaces

The unit is staffed by a total of 111 personnel, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Patient Ratios

1:4 for emergency department (ED) patients
1:5 for behavioral health (BH) patients
1:3 for cardiac/trauma patients

Equipment Utilized

Alaris pumps
Belmont and Level 1 Rapid infusers
Stryker stretchers

Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

The unit utilizes MEDITECH for managing patient records and information.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Meditech
Trauma experience
Inpatient experience
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)

Splinting
EKGs
Central monitoring
Trauma assists
Central lines placement
Airway support
Behavioral health de-escalation
Morgan lens application
Rapid infusion and resuscitation procedures
