Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center requiring WI or Compact RN license and prior travel experience.

Details

  • Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric populations
  • Level II Trauma Center with preferred Level I trauma experience
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, including weekends and holidays
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Floating required as needed

Requirements

  • Active WI RN or Compact RN license required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
  • TNCC certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years
  • Epic charting experience required, within the past 12 months preferred
  • At least 1 completed travel assignment (minimum 6 months) required, extensions highly preferred
  • Must pass a telemetry exam with strict criteria prior to starting the assignment
  • All references must be removed prior to consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care across a broad range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies
  • Perform advanced skills such as IV therapy, arterial line management, chest tube insertion, and interpretation of EKGs and ABGs
  • Manage patients requiring procedural sedation, continuous IV medications, and vasopressor support
  • Skilled in triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and orthopedic splinting
  • Located at a modern hospital offering free onsite parking
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • Assignment may be canceled if telemetry exam is not passed within three attempts
