Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring adult and pediatric ED experience and WI or Compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric populations
  • Evening (1500-0330) and Night (1900-0730) shifts, 12-hour and 8-hour shifts as needed
  • Weekend and holiday rotation required
  • Floating required as needed
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active WI RN license or Compact RN license required
  • Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certification (AHA only) required
  • TNCC certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years required
  • 40+ bed ED experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Trauma Level II experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required, minimum one assignment of at least six months, extensions highly preferred
  • Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting the assignment

Additional Information

  • Care for high-acuity ED patients including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric presentations
  • Skills utilized include IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line management, chest tube management, ABG interpretation, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
  • Experience managing dysrhythmias, multisystem organ dysfunction, and administering emergency medications required
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
