Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Unit Information

  • Number of Beds: 101
  • Typical Patient Ratios: 4:1; up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
  • Unit Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
  • Documentation System: Cerner

General Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Coordinate with team members and provide real-time feedback and coaching.
  • Participate in patient experience initiatives and ensure effective communication with patients.

Scheduling & Staffing

  • Every other weekend commitment required.
  • Flexibility to work across various sections of the Emergency Department.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting.
  • Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center is highly preferred.
  • Certifications required prior to hire: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS; ENPC within 90 days of hire.
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the dynamic needs of the department.

Dress Code

Required uniform: Navy scrubs.
