Job Summary:
Houston, Texas This position is for a Neurodiagnostic Specialist with expertise in surgical and stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG). The role involves performing standard and complex electroencephalogram (EEG) recordings, including specialized monitoring such as Long Term Monitoring (LTM), Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), and intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM). The successful candidate will assist with electrode implantation, cortical mapping, and recognize significant electrographic patterns critical to patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, working from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Sunday through Tuesday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience, with registration recognized by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET), such as R. EEG T. and CLTM.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certification in BLS, Certified Long-Term Monitoring (CLTM), and registration as a Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEGT.) through ABRET.
  • Additional Information: Assists with electrode implantation and design for invasive recordings; performs cortical mapping in the operating room; recognizes clinically significant electrographic patterns to provide critical results.
  • Certification Requirements: BLS Certification, Certified Long-Term Monitoring (CLTM) via ABRET, Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEGT.) via ABRET.
