Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position in Ohio, requiring cardiac ICU expertise and proficiency with advanced hemodynamic monitoring equipment on night shifts.

Details

• Work in a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) at a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• 36 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:1–2
• Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period; Friday/Saturday nights
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Epic EMR experience required
• Procedures and skills include IV starts, telemetry monitoring, mechanical ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, conscious sedation, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and PA lines

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or a Compact RN license recognized in Ohio required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred
• Proficiency with telemetry, mechanical ventilation, Swan-Ganz/PA lines, IABP, and conscious sedation required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of the facility are eligible to apply after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting an offer; candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
