Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior high-acuity cardiac surgery/advanced heart failure experience.

Details

• 28-bed Cardiovascular ICU within a critical care unit
• Patient population is 80% cardiac surgery and 20% advanced heart failure, including open heart recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO, Impella, IABP, and CRRT patients
• Utilizes Swan Ganz catheters and CCO monitoring equipment
• EMR system used is Cerner/COMPASS
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Floating required to MICU/SICU/Medical or Cardiac Stepdown Units as needed
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Preferred experience managing cardiac advanced device therapy, including IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz
• License and Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based direct patient care as part of the critical care team
• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, adjusting treatment to optimize safety and recovery
• Administer physician and nursing orders promptly while maintaining regulatory compliance
• Lead discharge planning in collaboration with patients and the interdisciplinary team
• Navy scrub color required
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
• First-time travelers may be considered
