Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN), Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular Austin, TX. This position delivers high-quality direct patient care in a cardiovascular intensive care setting, implementing individualized care plans and evaluating patient outcomes. Responsibilities include managing complex cardiovascular patients, administering orders, supporting quality initiatives, and coordinating safe discharge planning with patients and the interdisciplinary team.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts; 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered nursing license with license and certificate verification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing advanced cardiac devices, including intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, and Swan-Ganz catheter monitoring.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides care to a patient population consisting of approximately 80% cardiac surgery and 20% advanced heart failure cases.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include open-heart recovery, heart transplant care, left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implants, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), Swan-Ganz catheter management, and cardiac output monitoring.
  • The unit has 28 beds and requires navy scrubs.
